Why do I need to contact the author directly?
When you purchase an item on Envato Market, you're buying it directly from the author — Envato simply provides the platform for the transaction. Because of this, any tax-related documents you might need for your own records must come from the author themselves, such as:
- A Certificate of Residence
- Form W-9 or Form W-8BEN
