When is a refund generally approved?
A refund may be considered if:
- The item isn't as described or doesn't function as advertised.
- The item has a technical issue the author can't or won't resolve.
- The item wasn't delivered or couldn't be downloaded.
When is a refund generally NOT approved?
Refunds typically aren't provided if:
- You changed your mind after downloading the item.
- You purchased the wrong item by mistake (after downloading).
- The item didn't meet expectations for reasons unrelated to its description.
- The purchase was made more than 180 days ago (ThemeForest and CodeCanyon supported items) or more than 30 days ago (unsupported items, and other marketplaces including AudioJungle, VideoHive, GraphicRiver, PhotoDune, and 3DOcean).
What are my refund rights if I'm based in the EU?
Yes — if you're based in the EU, you can withdraw from a purchase within 14 days of payment. However, if you've already downloaded, accessed, installed, or used the item during that window, you may no longer qualify for a full refund under the EU right of withdrawal. Can I still get a refund if I've filed a PayPal dispute or bank chargeback?
Opening a PayPal dispute or bank chargeback automatically disables your Envato Market account until the dispute is resolved — and prevents us from processing any refund in the meantime.
