How to Upgrade or Change Your Envato Market License

You can change or upgrade your Envato Market license by buying the right license yourself and then reaching out to Envato support for help.

Note: If you only need to update the name shown on your license certificate, you don't need to upgrade or purchase anything — see Change Your Account Details instead.

Important: You cannot pay only the price difference between license types. You must purchase the upgraded licence in full. Once confirmed, Envato will assist you with your request.

How to upgrade your Envato Market licence

1. Purchase the correct or upgraded licence: Go to the item page on Envato Market and purchase the license you need (for example, an Extended Licence). Complete this purchase using the same Envato account you used for your original purchase.
2. Contact Envato support: Once your new licence purchase is confirmed, contact the Envato Customer Success team with the following details:

Frequently asked questions

• The name on my license certificate is wrong or outdated — do I need to buy a new license?

  No — you don't need to purchase a new license or contact Envato Market Customer Success Team to fix this. License certificates always display your current name, not the name on file at the time of purchase. Simply update your name on your Envato Account page, and all of your license certificates — past and future — will automatically update to show the updated licensee name.

  This is different from upgrading or changing your license type — if your issue is only with the licensee name shown on your certificate, no purchase is required.

• Can I pay just the price difference to upgrade my Envato Market licence?

  No. It is not possible to pay only the difference between licence types on Envato Market. You must purchase the upgraded licence in full. Once the new purchase is confirmed, contact Envato support.

• What if I accidentally purchased the upgraded licence on the wrong account?

  Both purchases must be on the same Envato account for the refund to be processed. If you made the new purchase on a different account, contact the Envato Customer Success team explaining the situation — the team will advise on the best course of action.

• How long does the upgrade take?

  Including all required details (username, item name, both licence types) in your support request will help the team process it as quickly as possible.
